Gordon Lodge’s facilities and amenities also make this a great place for families to nurture their bonds. Nature lovers will appreciate not only the access to Lake Michigan but also the extensive trails to explore one of the most rare and endangered biomes in the world.
Gordon Lodge is set on a 130-acre, park-like resort. Trails meander through the woods, inviting you to explore a nature setting few will ever encounter. You can even encounter endangered species here like the Hines Emerald Dragonfly.
Gordon Lodge is not for everyone. If you want walkable accessibility to shopping and other attractions, look elsewhere.
But, Gordon Lodge’s onsite restaurant means that you may not even want to leave the property.
For those who want to soak in a gorgeous natural setting to bond with loved ones, this is the place to go.

Think about wandering the wooded trails of this resort’s 130 acres, encountering deer and other animals.

The location of Gordon Lodge isn’t for everyone. If you want walkable accessibility to lots of restaurants, shopping, and other attractions, you should look elsewhere. Also, if you really want to walk down and swim at the beach every day, think about a property on the Green Bay side of Door County. The water in Lake Michigan is great for swimming on the hottest days of the year, but otherwise, it can be quite chilly.
That’s why I gave Gordon Lodge 4.5 out of 5 stars. Some might want a different location.
But, for many people, Gordon Lodge is an amazing spot with much to offer.

One thing that really sets it apart is its onsite restaurant and bar. This is especially useful given that it is on an isolated property, off to itself.
