Ellison Bay, WI – Door County art lovers have something new to look forward to this spring. Contemporary abstract artist Keven Wilder has announced the grand opening of a new Studio/Gallery Annex, just in time for the Ellison Bay Spring Art Crawl on May 17–18, 2025. The Annex, located at 12495 Door Bluff Road in Ellison Bay, will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days and available for visits by appointment throughout the summer.

The Annex expands upon Wilder’s existing Door County Studio/Gallery, offering visitors an intimate glimpse into her latest body of work—an array of vibrant, original abstract oil and mixed media paintings in a variety of sizes and price points. Known for her expressive use of color and texture, Wilder’s art is deeply inspired by nature, though her works remain firmly rooted in abstraction. All of the pieces on display are original works; prints are not offered, making each purchase truly one of a kind.
Also featured in the Annex will be photographic works by Keven’s husband, Nick Wilder. His images capture the natural beauty and charm of Door County, and his photo essays have been published in Classic Chicago, an online magazine dedicated to cultural life in the Windy City. The couple’s collaboration promises a multidimensional experience for visitors, blending abstract visual storytelling with striking regional photography.
Keven Wilder brings a distinguished artistic background to her work. A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she maintains active studios in both Chicago and Ellison Bay. Her art is regularly exhibited at the prestigious Arts Club of Chicago and in juried exhibitions throughout the Midwest. Her pieces are held in private collections across the United States.
Wilder is known for her commitment to growth and experimentation in her practice. She frequently participates in artist workshops to explore new techniques and perspectives, ensuring that her work continues to evolve. Her latest oil on canvas paintings, which will be showcased in the Annex, reflect that ongoing creative journey.
